    The finest model railway exhibition in North West England takes place on Friday 3rd (5/0 to 9/0), Saturday 4th (10.0 to 6/0) and Sunday 5th (10.0 to 5/0) October at the New Century Hall, Corporation Street, Manchester - just across the road from Victoria Station.

    20 layouts plus trade, society and demonstration stands.

    Four layouts set up tonight. Whilst it's perhaps invidious to single out one exhibit, "Apethorn Junction" - about 50' of scenic O Gauge never seen before in public - looks stunning.
