As an avid HO modeller due to my euro-scene interest, I am looking for british image stock in HO scale... Let me explain, I am modeling a ficticious heritage railway center in Germany, with a number of items of european trains displayed. I'd like to have a visiting UK steam loco and maybe coaches..... but I cannot sorce anything suitable. Any ideas???

Hmm...I think Lima did some HO stock at one point? Probably quite old by now. Ebay might be a good place to look.

Edit: after a little searching, here's the British HO Society.

There appear to be quite a few kits available if scratchbuilding isn't your thing, but very few ready-to-run models.

Roco do a Dutch 08, which can be altered to a British one, but other than that, like James says, there's very little. Lima did a Cl 33 I believe. Also the bogies for their Deltics were to HO scale, even though the body was sort of to OO (except for being several scale feet too short)!

Riverrossi made a HO Royal Scott train set in the late 70's with a fiddly carden shaft drive from the tender to the loco wheels. The loco was an unrebuilt Scott with Fowler tender as you'd expect. There are some to be had at swap meets etc.

i was looking at the latest camden catalogue today, and they have a book all about french hornby, aka HOrnby (geddit). next to it is a picture of a RTR HO USA tank in plain black. does anyone know where these can be obtained now? they must cost a small fortune now.
