    Hi all.

Well Y7 No.1310, based at the Middleton Railway, has made it into the workshops for the start of its overhaul. Its been inside only a matter of weeks and already work is progressing.

The biggest cost during the overhaul will be the boilerwork required to return it to operational condition. An appeal has been launched to help finance this work.

Please visit the Y7 restoration diary and appeal page at:

http://www.middletonrailway.org.uk/index.htm (Link on left hand side to Y7 page)

Photos and information will be added as the overhaul progresses.

Shout if you have any questions etc.

    Andy

Thanks for the news. Wonder how 68088 over at the North Norfolk is doing, hasn't been an update on the site since early 2008. Anyone know the last time they were together?

The NNR one has stalled a bit because the B12 tender is the priority. I think the boiler is nearly finished and the rest seems about as complete as it can be without a boiler.

On the same lines (and not that there is anything wrong with it - it looks great!) is NER green authentic for the class?

I doubt it but, I agree, it looks good on them. I'm not sure what livery No.1310 will be turned out in this time around. It is up to the owners to decide and I am presently awaiting that decision, hopefully not before too long as the wheels are about ready for painting.

Why not put it into its industrial livery? (Oooh, controversial!)
