But the idea of a gala with a visitor in the low season ,purely diesel appeals, then a homefleet gala before season end,add that to the diesel running days and lsw gives a good year of entertainment.
Speaking with my lsp holder hat on would be nice apart from Diesel experiences to see a few more diesel freights a year and with my traveling hat on at same time no silly double headers, which has actually been achieved this year but if it was possible to diagram, that you get on one hydraulic you get a hydraulic all day ,instead of jumping around to avoid the sulzers or the other way round if that pleases you, I don't have solutions only ideas,

Just had a good look at the timetable for the first time and in a moment of genius on Sunday the last diesel from Minehead is 15:47 (832) the last two are 16:47 (kettle) 17:45 (DMU) , hopefully this sort of thing can be avoided next year, 56302 to be named at Minehead 11:30 ish on Saturday

I keep meaning to look properly, waiting patiently for 1010 to be confirmed Friday, but I agree hopefully we can avoid that happening in future years,

Running the risk of being called impatient, but is it likely we will know what train 1010s allowed out on tomorrow ,or are we going to have to turn up on day and guess ? Tia

Well Mr Impatient ;), Although i havent seen anything in print if i were to guess i would say when 832 arrives at Lyd in the morning at 08:45 that would when youll see it if at all that is as the Warship has to come up light and if its working at all it will have to pair something Hydraulic so the 09:55 Lyd-Minehead would be worth a look

does it matter what time D1010 is out if you're stood in a field taking pictures?

Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory is the person rostering really so clueless?
Pair of hydraulics pleases 95% of those on board.Pairing an hydraulic and 47 pisses off both the spoon goons not wanting the oil slocher and the hydraulic men not wanting the damned duff.

Will be on the rear back to WN.

While it is nice to have it out (somethings better than nowt) but it does seam an odd choice of train to put it on, might need a bit of tinkering in the morning i suppose, but on the subject of 1661 ive heard the repainting plan from someone one the railway  cant imagine that fitting in at all, if what ive heard is right get a mental image of 47840 and work from there

Exactly nice to have it out but ontop of the duff, words fail me,

hit the nail on the head, think i'm gonna lineside tomorrow now the leaky sulzer tats gonna be between the western and the train.

I mean surely the layout at wilitons not changed that much 1010 can't be on top of the spoon to WN,

    Close yet so far....

Reading the messages from afar (Dubrovnik, Croatia) it appears that the majority of you are very happy with the event. It should be a good weekend.

    Enjoy. (BJ)
