    Anyone can take a pleasing shot in calm sunny weather. Doing so in yesterday's challenging conditions is a much sterner test. Perhaps a morning for video rather than stills, and for B&W rather than colour? Though Shep's evocative morning shots are almost monochrome!

    I'm especially impressed with Sgt Hompson's sound track at Ais Gil. Where did you place your mics, Steve, and what sort of mufflers were you using?
