Presumably the tanker has also arrived from Swanage - looks like the ex-ICI tanker that was stored at Harmans Cross for many years.

It did, apparently carried ammonia. Is this true? It is invery bad condition, will take a lot of money and time, to look new.

Yes, that's the one - former ammonia tank. The running gear's in poor condition, and the last I heard it was reputed to derail at most attempts to move it.

I know of a few photos of the Ruston in service at Swanage - PM me your e-mail address and I'll scan them in and forward them.

Whitwell now has electricity. Its amazing to have the lights on and boil a kettle.
Heating from the bio mass boiler will be in soon.
Extending then line as well this year and adding extra sidings.

Well that has stopped due to the weather. I the bio room did still go up as its a must.

The line extention is another 300 foot down the head stunt. the the head stunt will be turned into concrete sleepers. due to it being straight.

Not at the moment. Sorry. next steam day it the 6th, will get some footage then.

Well done on all the fantastic progress and I hope to be at the Cheese & Wine do in April (23rd I believe?)! With regard to the track, is there any more news about you laying some in front of the platform?
    All the best,

    Ralph

Great thanks. All the track has been replaced down the head shunt. You could even say that it has been leveled to go in the platform.

The whitwell model club has been set up. We plan to build a 00 layout based on the M&GN. A garden railway and We have gained 2 3.5" gauge locomotives. We are also restoring some signals to go up.
Now the bio boiler has been finished. The signal box will be started again.

Taken from a few months ago.
We have also gained a footbridge from North woolwich dock area. This bridge is very close to what once stood at the site.
Work has also start on getting some of the rolling stock looking good.
And more boundary fencing is going up along Marriotts way ready from the new year.
