Will a roster be available beforehand?

Thanks, but I don't want a book full of pictures and notes on each loco, I just want to know which trains the S160 is hauling so I can plan where to start and finish my day. Will it be based at BL or MD over the first weekend?

  3. Fair enough but at least by buying the programme you'll get your question answered :)

The WSR Plc might put some brief details on their webpage. If I get to know, I'll put the loco number and starting station on the loco roster on WSR :: West Somerset Railway :: Pictures and News but I may not get that info in time for you :-(

Hope you have a good time.

Thanks Steve, I'll have my 10 month old with me so I probably won't make many trips but I want him to enjoy the one he does do!

Very brave! Several nappies, at least one change of clothing, food, buggy etc. Does the WSR have any nappy changing facilities, I've never seen one. Enjoy your day.

    Regards

He'll be fine, we did 13 different railways last year so he's used to it!

  7. The West Somerset Railway has announced a rare and exciting footplate ride opportunity. On 18 March 2013 the heritage goods train makes two round trips between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead, and the Railway is offering a one-way trip on the steam locomotive footplate at £100.

Any idea when the timetable souvenir guide thing will be sent out? Placed my order and paid ages ago - only a couple of weeks away from kick off now so would have thought they'd have been sent out by now.... going on past years evidence

  9. Five days ago I was asked to help source the pictures. I know many images have been now received by the designer/printer so I guess it's well underway now although I'd imagine it's still a week or so before it is ready to be sent out.

As the gala is getting close now any news on Braunton's Replacement - will be down on 16/17th march

  15. Suggest contacting the Railway, Simon, unless someone from WSR Plc is on here. Otherwise just keep looking at the event webpage or Facebook or Twitter. That's how I get my info these days :-(

With only a few days to go now, I'm assuming that no replacement has been found for Braunton. Still an impressive line up mind.

I looked at the roster on the unofficial WSR site, and it gives a list of locos up till and including Friday 22nd March. I couldn't see any mention of the S160; is this being held back until the final weekend?
