I've seen 12 wheeled diners, but never a 16 wheeler.

… to add a moment of levity it's what happens when non-railway folk design a logo. But on the other had it is only a logo. The important bit is the TV channel to try to keep folks engaged.

Indeed, but why was it designed by a non-railway person? Doesn't the WSR have a few volunteers currently unable to do their usual jobs on the railway?

Fair enough, but the inaccurate logo risks being less effective.

The TV logo is based on the latest WSR logo which has been around for at least a year or so. Funny how no-one noticed the wheels until recently ;)

That logo is as bad as the Swindon Town football club emblem which includes a tank engine with a tender

Indeed, and the F&WHR have several saddle tank locos with tenders for the coal.

There is a local ornithologist by the name of T. Witcher who may be available to deliver a programme about the first cuckoo of spring. It is a remarkable bird, lovely plumage and all that however it is to be found at the Minehead end of the line.

    ;)

I'm reminded of the occasion when my wife found a 'hand made' card in a local gift shop for my birthday, with a sketch of a train + some wagons. These included a two-wheeled 'chaldron' type....I'm still trying to work out how they balanced the load !

I'm waiting for someone to come up with a photograph of a five-axle tender or a sixteen wheeler carriage. The Pennsylvania 2-10-0 "Decapod" had a six-axle tender....

At the moment, it would be nice to see ANY carriages on the line, especially those full of fare-paying passengers :)

So we have a British locomotive, paired with a German tender, pulling a couple of US carriages. The WSR goes international!
