James - it's likely that we'll post the allocations online before the event, I'm not a great fan of charging for this.

Parking enquiries - at Wymondham there is a large car parking (100 spaces) near Wymondham Mainline station which has a reasonable day price. Other than that, Dereham Theatre Street is all day parking as well as the school. Dereham Station is likely to be full very early on and so is the free one near Wymondham Abbey.

    Hope that helps.

Although James knows more about loco allocations than I do, I believe the three locos will rotate between the two sets of coaches, and all three locos will be used on all three days. Its an hourly service, so you dont have to worry about being able to fit them all in.

Is there likely to be a timetable for the vintage bus service?

    Cheers,

Is the railway still looking to borrow stock from Carnforth, which was rumored ?

WCR are kindly bringing a set of their own coaches to complement the vacuum braked set resident at the MNR, so two rakes will be in use.

The loco roster is slowly being updated - Friday is complete, with the Dereham-Wymondham roster for Saturday also finished. Wymondham-Dereham is still TBA.

    James

EDIT: I stand corrected. The entire roster for Saturday is complete, as is Friday's, though Sunday is missing. 45699 and 46115 are to double head on one round trip on the Saturday. Excellent! :)

Looking at the downloadable timetable it gives the bus service for Friday and Saturday but not Sunday, is it not running this day?

    Cheers,

The planned locomotive allocations have now been added to the Timetable page on the MNRs dedicated mini website. And you can still book a rover ticket in advance and save money!

The Timetables indicate only that connections are available out of/into the services shown at Wymondham Mainline Station. The Bus timetables are not yet published.

I might be going mad, but can't see the loco diagrams on the website.

We received confirmation today from WCR that the third loco to be at the gala will be 8F 48151. So that gives us a line-up of 46115, 45699 and 48151. We have also been told that WCR are making 7 of their maroon MKIs available so the railway will be able to put out two rakes of vacuum stock.

We really hope people will come down and support this event. Money can be saved by booking in advance. I don't know the next time 46115/45699 will be operating on a preserved line again, so please, come and make the most of it.

Really sorry - but I still can't see them! The section next to locomotives remains blank.
