Thats not unusual, the ACE (I think) a few weeks ago didn't have timings up until a couple of days beforehand.

Yes, NR's cutting it a bit fine as usual, so we should definitely know by Thursday.

I'm trying to persuade the other half to go for a walk over the Malverns so that we just happen to be in a good spot for when Tangmere comes up towards the tunnel ;)

Times now up on RTC website. 07:10 departure from BTM, returning at 22:33. Might have to bail out at Parkway on the return to guarantee connections, depending on how late the return is. Alternative will be to drive to Bristol Parkway and catch train to BTM.

Is that Gloucester's arrival or departure time on the outbound leg? Because it has to turn...

Just a note for anyone else thinking of doing the River Severn shot at Worcester, on those timings the sun will be on the NORTH side of the bridge rather than the south.

Sorry. I was thinking of the return. The timings are a direct copy and paste from the RYTC website so I cannot give any more details. <BJ>

Looks to be a long, logistically challenging, yet good day out from my perspective:

    1. Early morning drive from Swansea to Cardiff
    2. Catch 04:55 train to BTM, arriving at 05:53 (I'd rather not pay to get back across the bridge, park nor the extra fuel. Train works out cheaper and I can get a bit of kip on the return).
    3. Enjoy over an hour kicking my heels in and around BTM
    4. Hopefully grab some breakfast before departure
    5. Enjoy trip
    6. Time check on arrival at BPW on return: decide whether to bail out or carry on to BTM
    7. If on time, BTM to catch 22:54 back to Cardiff/if late and looking like missing the BTM connection, bail out to catch 23:29 BPW to Cardiff
    8. Drive from Cardiff to Swansea
    9. A bit of a lie-in on Sunday!

If I wasn't on a strict budget, a hotel would solve a lot of this, but where's the fun and sense of achievement in that?

Even more reason to hope there's no Diesel with it tomorrow given the Arriva liveried montrosity accompanying 34067 on the ECS today.

Tangmere arrived at Bristol (E+C) on time without a diesel. The stock is at Kingsland Road yard behind WCRC maroon liveried 47.245. <BJ>

Apologies, I think I've worked out what happened, I saw a phot earlier today of 34067 with ecs and a 57 near Southall and assumed it was today when it must of been taken previously and the clock hasnt been updated to reflect the time the pic was taken rather than the time it was uploaded, d'oh!.
