With equivalent load 16 from standing start at Oxenholme not surprising, but lovely noise up front. Couple of big slips on Shap, no shortage effort, min 28. Some nice fast running down the other side. Max 77mph.

Re-start from Plumpton loop on the return to allow a late running VT, then a TPE to pass.

Return run was hampered by delayed service trains which caused us to be looped at Plumpton and Shap. We also stopped at entrance to Grayrigg, but we're able to continue.
Good fast running meant return to Lancaster was only a few minutes late. Max 77mph again, with plenty of running around the 75mph mark.
Thanks to all on board for a very enjoyable day, the hot pot was extraordinary! This really is a superb value day out.
