    I think it would be too long a day to Weymouth. To give an idea using the timings( from UK Steam) for last years RTC Bristol - Weymouth trips, and the Diesel times between Tyseley and Bristol from this year Cornishman it would be a 5.20am start from Tyseley and a 00.55am return.

    I doubt the water carrier would be an option to make Weymouth viable either, not without assistance on Upway anyway.
