Got my confirmation too I was hoping we got ECS times on RTT so I can film it coming in. Any idea if they will run round at Snow Hill or diesel will haul it in.

Two Castles will be in steam tomorrow at Tyseley in readiness for Saturday’s trip to our friends at Didcot. All being well, the ecs will run to Snow Hill top n tailed by the two Castles. At SH, 7029 will run round to the front and we will leave around 8.15 picking up at Widney Manor. At Didcot there will be much shunting of the train then a four Castle line up before we turn and water ready for the trip home. The trip is planned to be diesel free. Please enjoy the day but try to join us on the cushions on a Castle trip this year in return. Remember, not enough passengers means no trains!

Sadly, due to union antics, Worcester Shrub Hill station will be closed on our planned Lickey Incline tour day. This is not a place to grumble, but this will cost us money and passengers as we run at our own revenue risk without Government subsidy. We now have no option but to reschedule these trains hopefully to a strike free day. Please bear with us whilst we work out a new date and please don’t call us as we will notify you when we have worked out the art of the possible, checked Rule of the Route and re-rostered our crew. We will run these trains so if you have bought tickets, please bear with us

That's a real shame, especially as it's completely out of your control. Was looking forward to this trip!

Keeping fingers crossed that you can find a suitable day to reschedule.

That's now 2 of my 4 railtours booked for this year cancelled, not a good start!

My guess is the station will be very crowded.. I would love to see that but it will be hard to get good video shot with so many on there I think

As they will be uncoupled for the line up on shed the crews can choose which one leads on the way back when they re couple them, seem logical from the headcodes for one to lead south and the other north.

I assume that the water carrier can only benefit the locomotive its coupled to anyway, so if its needed (I guess you can't do Tyseley, Didcot on a single tank) I assume (lots of assumptions here) that the train engine will probably be doing the bulk of the work each way anyway?

There are suitable over-bridges just north and south of the station, a modest walk from the station. For the southbound run, try the Osney Lane footbridge. For the northbound, try Walton Well Rd. Good luck. I'll be in a field somewhere to the north of Oxford...

A fair assumption I would have thought. I assume the WC is double-ended so doesn't need to be turned, just shunted?
