The camera I use is a Sony HDR-PJ330E so unsure how id be able to attach the wind muffler as the inbuilt microphone is right underneath the camera lens and the last thing I want is to have it show on the camera.

The wind muffler sticks on with a Velcro pad so that will stay in place so if you want to take the muffler off you can . A lens hood that screws on would stop The strands showing in your video .This is your best option with your camera not having an external mic connection I would say .

I don't photograph trains so I shall refrain from the discussion about the ethics of on-line criticism.

However, I strongly dislike being ordered to "Enjoy!". Surely the imperative that some add to their posts would be better expressed as, "I hope you enjoy my video." if necessary at all?

I dont know what's going on but a YouTube user Ralph5407 has been giving me some negative comments on my video from the other week when I rode behind 35018. First I had was: Interminable shots from both ends of the train with little to see of the loco and the only sound wind noise....and yet people praise it as great and brilliant, and then just now I had: You don't get it do you, a lot of time with just countryside going past, no sight or sound of the loco, it's just a waste of time, David should work withing the capabilities of his camera. He should also take advice, and one bit has been, cut out the interminable shots of nothing but fields, it's of little or no interest to anyone. Concentrate on the station shots which work fine.

Has anybody else here been having problems from him with uploads from onboard tours you may have done or comments on other peoples video's.

Sounds like an honest critical opinion. I'm sure that what you do may be liked by some but it is not everyone's idea of a good show. If you do not want people to say how they find your work don't post it on Youtube in the first place.

The person in question never used to be like this though as he always thanked me for my upload and said id done a good job too, but looking at their channel he hasnt uploaded for over 2 1/2 years. Iv been on YouTube since Jan 2010 and never until now have I run into issues like this from people.

You really don’t get it do you David. Ralph5407 is not having a go at you, he is merely commenting on how boring your footage is. Also your attitude doesn’t help where you expect us to ‘enjoy’ or swoon over your video. Fact, onboard video is totally boring unless there is some interesting scenery ie stations, junctions, viaducts etc. Shots of trees, fields are of no interest whatsoever. Don’t know why you decided to resurrect your moaning in yet another thread when there is a separate thread which has been split off to respond to your previous posts. Do I have to spell it out to you, onboard footage is boring unless you pay great attention to the way it is edited.

Oh for heavens sake. I admit I don’t like hours of on board footage but I am trying to make useful comments on how to make your videos more interesting. I and others have made what I thought were constructive comments in the video sound, microphones and editing thread but it seems to be going over your head. If you don’t like constructive criticism or advice then don’t post your videos on here!
