Latest press coverage of the new project is here (sorry for the huge link..)

Hope this works OK? The local weekly newspaper (the Glamorgan Gazette) have kindly agreed to print updates as the project progresses.

    Regards,

    Nick.

Excellent stuff, great to hear you've found a new home. Hopefully the sale of the surplus rolling stock will cover the transport costs of the rest of the fleet?

Well, that's the plan we hope. Not too much stock will be moving to the Garw initially, as the 14, "Pamela", Hunslet 6688 etc. are all going away to other railways. The 108 is going to the Garw Valley to run services, along with some of our smaller stock. The 14 should be running at the DFR's diesel gala by the way.

I take it that the 47 is not planned to go to Garw?

Hello Martin! No decision has yet been made as to the 47 (which of course is privately owned). The main priority for us is to move stock to the GVR and get the 108 running once the necessary remedial work on the site and line is completed to the required standard. As you can imagine, there's one heck of a lot of things still to sort out at Barry! #-o
