There's a misconception that all sorts of bright lights are "neon". Ionised neon gas glows a pinkish-orangeish sort of colour, as seen at one time in numerous indicator lamps.

As for Bantam-Whatever: for an individual locomotive that did not exist in the days of the LNER or BR (albeit that two similar ones did exist) no colour is really "authentic"; so (considering the West Highland connection) how about North British livery?

I`m reading about the class V4 in Yeadons register of LNER locomotives, where the author regard the class V4 to be Gresley`s "Unfinished Symphony". Just 2 examples of the class completed, Gresley`s suddenly death and therefore preventing later development of the class. So, maybe that could be an idea for a name of the new build V4 "The Unfinished Symphony "?

    kind regards:)

Clearly the reason the were not the Tunnocks class in the first place would be that minor technicality that Tunnocks wafers didnae happen till 1951.
Since the trust doesn't seem keen on the Scottish angle, and the thing will probably be doing any mainline activity out of Stewarts Lane how about ' Cock-sparrah'
