Lovely clip .... thanks for sharing. I've decided Minas de Aller No.2's rather peculiar motion must have been designed by someone with a bad back, to make oiling round a tad easier than, say, an L&B Manning Wardle!

Re: the missing tribe of Latham. Has anyone thought to try the contact via the Sally Ann? They have a renowned tracking service, which allows the prey putative contactee to refuse communication if that's their desire. I'd also draw attention to the precedent of boats moored without payment of dues to ports and harbours for long periods. See discussions on P.S.Ryde for details.

According to a comment on Facebook, contact has now been made. I wonder if that's why the loco was allowed to be dragged up and down the line, rather than just parked in the shed or yard all weekend?

Wading through the lists and cross-referencing, it seems no less than four of the wonderful little Peckett "geological" 0-6-0st locos have made it into preservation. The last mention I can find of Liassic is it was shipped to Canada. Does anyone have any further info on this one? Mesozoic is listed as being at Bromyard & Linton Lt Rly, though currently dismantled. There's an image on Wikipedia which seems to confirm it's presence. Four survivors of an industrial class is impressive by anyone's standards!

There's a potential special event there I'd love to live to see ..... :)

Liassic is literally in the video in this thread... repatriated, normally resident at Statfold, currently visiting Bala Lake. Mesozoic is still in bits in Bromyard, very unlikely to steam again (the frames have been stored without horn guides and have now bent). The final one is Jurrasic, happily running on the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway.

Oh Bollo ..... Whoops ..... I was going boss-eyed cross referencing a page concerning their old stamping ground with a long list of preserved Pecketts on wikipedia, not all the lines of which agreed!

That's not bad, four out of one class with that age, must of been made in Bristol.
