Back on theme, does anyone know if there will have to be diesel assistance on the Weymouth Express this Sunday? It crosses into Southern territory. Is there a fire-risk requirement for a diesel from Yeovil? Could be two expensive weeks of paying but not travelling with RTC if there is, unless we decide to go and eat some fresh caught fish and drink lots of wine in the Weymouth area.

Lineside fire at Slaithwaite between Huddersfield and Stalybridge this aft. Which steam hauled train will get the blame?

A very nice surprise today, as I popped out to see the Shakespeare Express, which i expected to assisted by their 47, and was amazed to see 4965 hauling the train on it's own. Very surprised as there was minimal rain over the Midlands on Saturday.

It's because of the difference in Humidity in these other Countries.
In the UK when the heat comes the humidity is completely wrong, this is what makes people feel unwell, sick, sweating, lack of energy etc to name but a few and kills many old people in the UK once it goes above 24c.
Abroad it's completely different heat and that's why people think they can stay out longer, the heat doesn't make you feel down, full of sweat etc until it gets nearer the 100f mark.

Some I'm sure will say it still effects them, but it shouldn't. I hate the heat in this Country and the effects it has on me, but Egypt, Turkey and almost anywhere that has consistent high 30c no effect.
Could our ladies stay covered in Black clothes all day like in Turkey?

4mt is quite right. 30C is no problem in some countries, but would be hard to bear here. In India recently it was close to 30 (monsoon season) and was gorgeous...just toasty
