Out of interest, how long does it actually take to do something like that? Is it semi automated at all?

It took about 2 hours in total. The way I did it was to clone from one part of the image to another. Altering the coach colours was the hardest part as it's pretty painstaking to 'paint' all the individual details. There are ways to copy whole coaches from one part of an image to another, or to take a series of shots on the power winder as the train passes and then 'reform' the rake with the decent liveried coaches, but this only works if the coaches are of the same type, at least if you want to keep the formation the same.

If I could be bothered to carry it up to Leeds via SVR tomorrow, there was a chance that there would be photos of the Stevenage Loco Society headboard on the front of it at Millerhill too!
