    For quite a time there were two different sets of timings in circulation, and in the event they seem to have set off in their own good time. For conspiracy theorists, that sounds like an attempt to cut the number of trespassers to zero.

    More likely though, the crew were offered a clear time slot and didn't see the need to hang around. After all they've probably got people to get home to in the evening.

    Round about an hour early on the original set of timings and an hour or so late on the revised set (at least south of Oxford)

    Tornado returns to Tyseley birthplace 27 June 2009

    The star guest at the Tyseley 101 Open Day was Peppercorn A1 Pacific No 60163 Tornado, returning for the first time as a complete engine to the place where its frames were laid down. Also on display was an impressive display of resident motive power, largely of GWR origin. The next major project for Tyseley will be the restoration of No 7029 Clun Castle.
