Well lets hope that crowds don't start spreading beyond the platforms again

Simple - job for the Railway plods at the platform ends, far more effective than a "no passengers beyond this point" board.

I think that both tour companies will make sure that they also have stewards posted at the appropriate points, the problem is, they are on the train and joe public is already on the end of the platform.

Well I guess the drifting exhaust disguised the fact there wasn't a great long train behind...
...and the fact that there were two locos!

About par for the course when you've stood waiting in the rain! Lol

    Better luck tomorrow eh?!

The train consists of 12 maroon coaches today .....at least I think they were maroon, it was very dark and murky
when the train departed from Bristol. Very nice to see though and well worth setting the alarm clock. :) <BJ>

Oh yes - Much better than yesterday's rain!
With both locos pounding hard and a fairly still day there were no issues with drifting smoke either. :)

Alas, I rather fluffed my position somewhat and think there'll be a more dramatic view from further up the field nearer the style. Still, I've not seen steam here before and think I'll certainly be returning.
