Some might think that refusing Tornado was a correct, some might say inspired, decision to make. The can of worms is opened when enthusiasts chant off the rhetoric and stats having tried to remember what their locomotive groups last press statement was or what they read in a magazine article. Your right that its for another time to go over that ground again.

The fact that some dont see the diesel assistance as being neccesary this year is more due to stubborn ignorance of how the modern railway works as much as their own selfish indulgance in what they want to see this year. Its a shame they dont appriciate the efforts that have been made this year to ensure steam is still running this year, even with assistance as required. In time the restrictions will end, till then, we should enjoy the spectacle of two engines working rather than one - but that for some is far too hard to contemplate....

Stock seems to have left "York warehouse" and gone to holgate but hasn't come out to the station as of 0937??

The steam loco doesn't appear to have come off the nrm either?? This is according to RTT.

As I typed that it arrived into York station. Presumably to leave around an hour late.

Bags of time Henry! I had a 15 minute wait on top of the 10 minute hike from the car!
