I'm booking August Bank Holiday Monday so should get 70013 which will be fine with me. Perhaps we'll bump into each other again this year blackfive.

Much better performance all round tonight - made last orders at Stalybridge

Arrived six early at Leeds - much noisier and faster up the bank, and spot on time at York

The guard who let the 21.45 out last night as we were running up the platform took a good natured ribbing

    Two down!

Curry night at Wetherspoons tomorrow but wasn't convinced by Caledonian "Top Banana" tonight

Thanks Simon, that was the first day when it was spotless.

I think the owner was on the footplate but I cloned him out! :-$

Saw the advert for the SSE today for the first time on TV. Bit of a cheat showing Scots Guardsman and Union of South Africa when neither are running but I suppose the general public wont know any different. A very short advert though but some nice images of SC.

Just had an email suggesting that this morning's circle is going the other way round and passed Colton Jc. heading for Leeds at 09:31.
    Any confirmation would be appreciated...

Someone's brain not in gear this morning; it was Skelton, not Colton!

    Thanks for your comment.

The second location was found partly by looking at Google Map and doing a bit of walking. It was rough! There were old traffic cones, beer cans, litter - you name it. You can't see them when you zoom in on Google Map.

Yes, I'm sure we shall meet one day.

Joined the SSE at Leeds tonight - detrained at Knaresborough as I had no lift back from Huddersfield if the 21.45 had been missed and I wasn't chancing it!

Bill was taking it steady, but competently, as usual.
