Noooooooooooo! My heart goes out to the support crew of 5029. I was on the run to Ludlow and Shrewsbury last year and you could see how gutted they were then. Hope she can be sorted soon. GWR engines on the ML seem to be having a tough time of late (5043, 6024 and now 5029).

An interesting doubleheader on the cards now, although you won't have much chance of hearing D1015 with 70013 at the front!

I think you'll find D1015 is dual braked so shouldn't be a problem. Colin.

D1015 is one of the loudest mainline certified diesels in preservation when on full bore (we could hear her at Cholsey this morning over a minute before she came into view and thats on a level track !) and 70013 is a match on the steam side of things. The resulting videos from Dainton and Rattery should certainly be 'interesting', although I appreciate not to everyones taste; personally I can't wait to hear both of them in tandem.

Got a video of D1015 heading 70013 up Kerswell bridge, just before Dainton earlier..... Excellent combined noise!!

Am off out to get D1015s return in a mo, (currently 50ish late) then I will upload the video later tonight..

Doesnt look like they were moving 5029 as I helped out to get the crew to the local fire station to get some water arranged for her...

Unknown as to how bad the problem was though with the axle box, but it did seem like they were cooling the loco down though... fingers crossed
