Well guys having just looking around the net at this tour, Uksteam has 6201 as the booked engine whilst the RTC website has 60009 booked as the traction, i know their website doesn't seem to be the most correct site around as we had the same issue when 30777 hauled the train back in December, however having noticed that 60009 is working the "Great Briton" tour back to York on Monday i would have thought the tour was going to be used as a movement to get the engine back up to Thornton, anyone able to shed any light as to which engine it will be?

Anyone know what the actual times are, not the ones on RTC website?

Still no times, I'm inclined to use guesswork based on last Heat of Midlothian timings, which means I need to leave the house straight after the F1 Qualifying...anyone know anything more up-to-date?

Actually it's changed to being a quite economic duty for the 60009 guys. Edinburgh - York on 13/4 with the Great Briton 2 and returning on 17/4 with this tour. No serious loco & POB mileage incurred.

This though struck me having just looked at UK steam and the number and length of some of the positioning trips. It must have cost a fortune doing all those moves.

It's a shame that 6201 is still out of traffic.

    Cheers, Neil

I was out for it, passing Chester le Street about 20 late at 09:16 with not as much smoke as Easter Monday when I was out for it on the Great Britton =D>

Not sure when the next northern ECML steam might be.

    Cheers

I saw the light engine move back to Thornton on Saturday afternoon. It was going very nicely through Rosyth on the climb from Inverkeithing to Dunfermline. Needs a smart bit of timing to keep clear of the Fife circle trains which are running on a weekday timetable of every 30 minutes even on Saturdays.
