Any chance an insider knows what might be at the front on the Kyle Leg (and up/down the HML for that matter!)?

A lot of times have come out for the GB this evening. See post 80 for all the links to just the GB, not the associated light engines movements etc.

Itinerary arrived today and 60009 only going as far as Perth on day 3. The Perth - Inverness and return legs now in the hands of 45699 and 61264 and Perth to Oxenholme now double headed with 60009 and 45699.

On a full train, yes, but IIRC they did an engine and van move together from York via Copy Pit a couple of years or so back.

Looking forward to film 60103 on day 1 and especially 35018 on day 2. Should be a excellent railtour?

Sadly that opportunity may have gone by the wayside even though they will probably have overlapping future stints. The policy seems likely for only LSL to operate their locos?

I'm sure there were some posts further up saying none of the Riley 5's were due out?

If you mean 45212 I don't believe it is a Riley 5, think it belongs to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and is leased by Rileys.

Blimey number 9 is covering a few miles! Practically one end of the country to another. Fingers crossed that Riley & Son have her in fine fettle.
