That's a bit unfair, i can't speak for others but i only post good pic or vid if i genuinely think so.

If you want average video's check out some of the garbage on youtube, generally taken on a mobile phone or similar pathetic device with the owner talking all over the soundtrack like some demented toddler, that's average.

Not so sure about a visit north ofCarlisle but as one of the locomotive pool for the Statesman Programme over the S&C on Wednesdays between 29 July and 5th September there could be much action on the S&C.

The current programme mentions through ticketing but is there any chance of stage tickets ( e.g Lancaster - Preston; Preston - Clitheroe; Clitheroe - Hellifield; Hellifield to Clitheroe; Clitheroe to Preston; Preston - Lancaster where some customers may be unable to do the full circuit but be able to sample a short leg in the evening ?

Just back from 5 days in the Lakes, and since Thursday the weather has been superb -- but that's life.
Some great vids and piccies on here guys and gals, and it was great to see the Scot over Shap & Beattock.
Here's my record of the day -- having put the rain cover on the vid I strugged a little and panning was somewhat eratic -- anyway enjoy (hopefully)

ps -- disappointing to see a few photters the wrong side of the fence over Beattock.

Is there any truth to the rumour that by the time Tangy got to Preston there was not enough coal left for her to run unassisted to Carnforth. Mate at Preston was on a bridge and said that he could only see a bit in the back corners. :-k

I like that David, you have some real imagination, a lot of photographers only want the sun out and to take a pretty picture and are not bothered by the sound and atmosphere, so you have done really well to incorporate that fabulous sound in your clip. Well done. Would still be interested in your sound on Beatock even if you were not happy with the film, although Beatock is so difficult to get anything worthwhile these days.
