    Agree with you there. I remember her at Embsay and didn't come away as impressed with her from there as I did Foxfield.

    Not sure what else I can add on the gala, great gala showing the true raw power of industrial steam. Thank you guys.

    My turn now to echo what has already been said really. I was at the gala on Saturday including the morning charter at the colliery. Thanks to Hunslets Finest for making sure that ran smoothly. A day well spent watching and listening to train after train climb away from the colliery was a superb way to spend the day. I had a really great day and extend my thanks and appreciation to everyone who made it possible, your efforts are greatly appreciated. It was also nice to chat with some of the lads from Tanfield who seemed to be a great bunch. A visit to their line is on my agenda. My photos from Saturday can now be found on my fotopic site.

    Any word on visitor numbers yet I know there was 12 from Tanfield but was wondering what the overall total was?
