The former now on Beattock, low cloud and rain....the 57 is struggling, only 8 on and dead 47, a black 5 would get up here faster with this load. :(

How did the Scot do today. I'm guessing that it was a success since nothing has been said until this point.

SG back on form, powered up Wilpshire Bank in a heavy shower (7E at Ramsgreave) and then sped through Cherry Tree.

Thanks Henry. I'm "up north" this week on holiday - 5 steam trains on the S&C in 6 days is worth the 5 hours on the motorway!

2L at Hoghton with a blowing cylinder draincock - typical rubbish! Apart from the cloudless blue sky and the warm morning sun and the total absence of wind and the cool atmosphere which allowed plenty of exhaust to be seen and the fireman putting on a few rounds and a Black 5 working hard pulling 11 coaches up the bank. Joking aside, a fine spectacle on a perfect day for watching steam on the main line. Hope it continues for everyone out there today.

    ????? :Saywhat:

Why single out Thursday for the pacamac Henry?

It is the North you are talking about.

    ;)

Surprisingly I've never done the Fellsman either passenger or steward.
