That should be possible, and would mean the tour is "only" around 105' late after Hellifield - but then you've got the problem with pathing through the Clitheroe terminaters and the associated shunts.

I'm now taking bets on the tour terminating at Watford on the way home so the stock can go to Wembley for a DL to come on and take it all back to Southall.

Full marks to sticking to the plan, but im surprised this never went via the loop to Hellifield due to how late it was to then pick up original times. Would have just been arriving into Hellifield.... Is it closed for engineering work this weekend. Scot cant be out of gauge surely?

Footage of 46115 making a storming run past Woodhouse (Cumbria) running 190 late and a shot of 37612 & 37604 thrashing over Arnside Viaduct heading the Retro Cumbrian Coast Explorer.

Great shots there from both of you who waited patiently. The Scot doing her best with 11 on and a brave move by West Coast to avoid the temptation of putting a diesel on the back.

    Nice footage.
The hill in the background of the 46115 shot is Fareleton Fell and I scattered my fathers ashes up there after he died in 1993. His family came from the village of Holme nearby and he spent a lot of his childhood there. He loved to visit the area whenever he could, as indeed I do myself.....a lovely part of the world, and the hills still echo to the sound of steam. Magic!

Strewth, turn my back on steam for a week and this happens. Plus SD's diesel July 9th trip.

I came over Shap myself today, southbound at a steady 65 mph making the noise of a Brit being really thrashed. Like you do. Returning from another week with my Owls.

Thought about stopping to watch this. Damn glad I didn't though, running that late on the way North.
