    According to the Nunney Castle website, 5029 will be hauling service trains on the West Somerset, on the 19th September 2010

    So does this mean that the King will be standing in as 71000 is on the Torbays?

    After 3 changes of motive power for this tour (& nearly a fourth) nothing will suprise me! Uksteam still showing as 5029 so I will be guided by that. Price and route dictated my booking so as long as it's steam I'll be happy, though it's been many years since i've been behind Nunney on the mainline.

    I've never been behind 71000 on the mainline (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!!) However being an RTC/WCRC operation who won't use 71000, this is one engine I can't see on this train..see you all at BTM on the 19th behind the Duke then!

    Changing trains from an A4 to a 94xx at Liskeard - still not bad!
