Shame about no evening A4 pass over the bridge but good to meet Trevor at South Queensferry - cruise tonnage in tomorrow as well - a little Brucey Bonus for driving all that way - just as well I saw the tyre come off that eighteen wheeler in front of me as I crested Beattock and it was a bit disconcerting to see how easily it hopped the central crash barrier. Just as well there was nothing coming the other way.

The police didn't seem interested in whether I was hands free as I reported it

Some great footage there and the K4 sounds in great form. Thanks for sharing.

An eventful evening around the north of the Forth. Tight timings to Thornton made us late into the water stop at Dunfermline. And then there was a signal failure at the start of the goods line to Longannet Power Station that made for slow progress. But it's a lovely ride along the north shore and someone will tell me is it's also a first....And then as we waited in the loop at Linlithgow we were told that unlike the exit around Newington and Craiglockhart, we were going to be allowed back into Waverley through Haymarket Tunnel, as last night So at long last, the right kind of engine arrived into Waverley from the west since I don't know when.

Departure from Edinburgh today will be later than as shown on UK Steam - by about an hour. This is because of crew rest regulations.

So we're looking at a 10:30 path off Edinburgh? Are they going to put her via the sub still or just right through Haymarket Tunnels do you know?

More or less I would think. Reported Greskine @ 1325. Big question is, what happens to the Carlisle departure time.

Was due in Lockerbie at 12:45, so she's over 90 minutes late?

Train was re-timed as of yesterday - to allow crew legal rest period. Departure from Edinburgh was 1 hour later than advertised. Now due into Carlisle at 1515.

Thanks 46203. Do you know if the times south of Carlisle are expected to stay the same? 15:34 off Carlisle and 16:25 to 17:20 stopover at Appleby?

We're visiting every loop between Edinburgh and Carlisle - just stopped at Qunintinshill. We've been told that we expect to depart Carlisle at 17.00, but not yet confirmed.

17.00 departure from Carlisle "confirmed", then non-stop to Long Preston.
