I went to the library to see if I could post that info this morning and found that carnforth library is only open 3,1/2 days a week, not tues or thursday, most libraries have public computers in, still don't know if carnforth's has, also forgot my mobile, sorry about that. just off to lancaster station, get a bit more video if I'm not too late.

Running a couple of minutes down to the times posted for the Tuesday run - Running fine and seems like Carnforth have done another good job. Just needs a coat of paint now.

Nice to see you again John and the others that I bumped into.

I've uploaded some photographs from the footage I took this lunchtime, but I'm not uploading any of the footage because I just don't have the time. The Footage will be available on the 'Part 2: Spring Steam 2010' DVD released at the end of April.

being about 45min down at Langho I thought they would still stop at Blackburn so I ambled across to Pleasington -- only to see the train go past as I was enjoying a brew and camera still in car!! should know by now to expect the unexpected.
    Hope the test was successful.

Noted with no diesel on the rear - this is probably due to the fact that West Coast don't have any operational dual-braked ones at Carnforth, or, at least, didn't have when this test was being run! 37676 failed the other day en route to Bo'ness with Royal Scotsman stock and was towed back by 47826, while 37516 and 47245 were making their way up to CS from Southall today. The only option would have been to use 37685, though that hasn't been out on test yet, so I presume it's not finished. At a push, they could have used 33025 as thunderbird, as I believe it is vac-braked.
