I find it very sad that forged tickets were in circulation. I do hope that this was not a widespread problem ? :smt009 :smt011

From what we know it was one guy going round the pubs in Llan selling them on Saturday night, they werent very good and im sure we didnt lose much cash because of them. They were a bit obvious to say the least. I just cant believe people bought em to be honest, we had a guy turn up with four tickets that i think he had payed a tenner each for. Imagine how happy he was to be told he had to pay again.

Following on from what is reckoned to be the best Gala ever, has it inspired anybody to join the Llangollen Railway, or the 6880 group ,especially as a working member ?

Looking at the roster we now have 3 new cleaners who I don't recognise (though there also a few I do as well).
Had a few start helping in the sheds too. Can't comment on other departments.

The diesel group has had several new volunteers recently. Somehow though, i don't think it was the gala that's brought them in!!!

More like the Beasts of Berwyn!!! \:D/ \:D/

The newsletter is produced quarterly, the last one being immediately before our Gala, so there is still time to submit images.

The 2007 newsletter which contained many photos of the SSSI Gala can be downloaded from the 6880 website (See link below) - this will give an indication of what we are seeking.

    http://6880.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads ... tter10.pdf (1.8mb)

    Regards

    Good footage there Lee

I cant believe this has run to 106 pages

I still cant belive that the 6880 society Llangollen railway and everyone else involved pulled it off and made it into such a unforgetable event

Nine days I am very proud of

I know where there's a couple of boxes with leftover glasses as well...

They are still being sold for £1 IIRC on our sales stand. Think our next event is Llan35 on Sept 10/11/12
