I hope the Manor is able to run considering that coal is now £300 per tonne now, Andrew? Perhaps they'll be limiting it's mileage! ;-)

What Manor? Foxcote is out of ticket and isn't even listed on our leaflet. It will feature as a static in a photo line up on shed Thursday 23rd April.

Coal £300 per tonne! I don't think so. The average at Llangollen recently according to our CME is £180-£190 per tonne. We could get cheaper than that, but we have to use very clean burning coal to avoid upsetting the neighbours.

Had a great weekend up at Llan, shame to be back already but Admin gave a lift and he does live in Kent......

    Dukedog coming along nicely...........

To wet your appetite for the Nat pres special we are negotiating the chance for a free pint on the special for nat pres members. Keep paying attention for further details on this... If we're lucky, the loco on the front end should be worth the trip too but more on that nearer to the event..... There's a good selection been advertised, maybe we'll have one of the more prominent stars?

Try huge selection of fine real ales including Dark Side of the Moose! That and many others will be available throughout the gala and also some bottled beers on the trains.

    20:54 FYI

Thank You Brian. Our list has already altered between my previous post Friday afternoon to tonight, to the extent I've practically rewritten 2 days of t/t in 6 hours today, with another 4 t/t to go!
Despite our best efforts though, it looks unlikely there will be a Manor :smt010 :smt010

Yes please!!! I look forward to trying beer from Purple Moose (and many others at the festival), steam and beer, a great combination!!!

Does anyone know if their beers are available in bottles anywhere in Llangollen? I know a few people back here who would be very happy if i brought a few bottles home with me!!

Heritage Railway says 6100 and 5690 will be added to the line-up if available, which I make 7 guest locos (Standard Gauge!).

As some-one involved in organising events in the past, I know that must have been a massive amount of work to organise with 7 different owners bringing locos in, all by road, from 7 different locations (plus, I think I am right, a guest coachas well!). I also have a pretty good idea as to just how much it is likely to be costing! How many passengers do you need over the 9 days to make the event worthwhile?

Is a line up of seven guest engines a record for a preserved railway gala?
