Has anyone managed to get in contact with David at the 6880.co.uk email address regarding foot plate rides on the locos? I emailed him a few days ago and haven't had anything back

Fancied a ride on Tornado or Britannia up the line...

A bit late to ask perhaps, but does anyone know if there are any photocharters taking place next week? I have a vague recollection that something might have been organised...

I'll be based in Glyndydfrdwy from Monday onwards and would like to join in anything that may have a place available.

    Thanks,
    Mick

Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday mornings IIRC. Don't know how to book though, last time I handled everything along with Broomhalla and we advertised on here and the SSS website. Not being involved this time I don't know who's taken this up for SSS3.

I did mean a proper auto- train, with a coach at either end. Bet you can't find a photo of that!
Had a good day on the railway today riding behind 'Tornado' along the new extension.

Started the Gala well .Had a good trip in Tompson Buffet, top and tailed by Tornado and Foxcote Manor.Just got back home after an evening in the station sampling most of the 18+ beers on offer and not a bad one among them.Well worth a visit,Richard and his gang have done another good job setting it up.Roll on tomorrow.

Trains are around 90 minutes late and quite out of sync, with long waits for passing at stations.
Apparently an issue with 828's train earlier in the day, faulty brakes on a coach supposed to have stopped the train in section causing a long delay.

60163 getting ready on the 1720, will be around 1 hour down.
Planned double header at 1640 with 49395 and 828 canceled, instead 49395 and 58926 double headed the freight !!!
