Does anyone know what might be on these two Cathedral Express tours, or is it one of the usual northern pool (find out at the last minute jobs).

    TIA

The 28th is postponed. Would guess 48151 for the 26th.

I would thing the 8f or 45231 after hearing the clanking on Galatea from yesterday's tour.

Glad that I was wrong this time because the clanking is gone.

A superb performance from 45699 on Tuesday - on the return the diesel appeared to be dead making the trailing load equivalent to about 14 carriages. Video from Ais Gill:

No, if you look carefully you'll see that the diesel wasn't dead (IMHO) but don't let that detract from a superb video and Galatea would have drowned out anything coming from its motors anyway. Think about it. Whilst I'm sure the diesel wasn't positioned there for that reason, this arrangement does disguise rather well anything it does - well as far as LMS engines are concerned...definitely!

    Many thanks Al, much appreciated.

Re. the diesel assistance, I may well be wrong, but stand by my observation. Although some spluttery fumes from the 47 are evident, it appeared that these were simply created by idling. Not included in the upload are 2 shots from earlier in the journey - taken from bridges directly over the train (and diesel exhaust) and where it is obvious that the duff was merely ticking over.
