Well, those of you who were not there, you missed a brilliant, fantastic day!
I personally had one hell of a hoot , driving the recently restored Hunslet round the garden all day long, I never thought going round in circles could be so much fun!.
My heartfelt thanks to Graham and all the other folk at Statfold for a brilliant, brilliant day.

I may well have enjoyed a ride in your capable hands. I will post some pics when I get five minutes.

One of the top railway days in the country. 50 plus engines, nine in steam, no over zealous H&S, 10 minute service, great weather. If you haven't ever been you don't know what you are missing. If you don't like narrow gauge (why?) then go for the railwayana collection.

Not normally a narrow gauge person but had an really enjoyable day. Was great to hear the locos working hard. A really interesting place. I would recommend it as a great day out.
Also to feed my standard gauge interest we dived into the Battlefield line and had a noisy run up the line with the 33, then a shed tour and long talk with Gerald Boden, owner of the B1.

Try the WHR from Beddgelert to Rhyd Ddu if you want to hear engines working.

Other railways on which engines can be heard working are available.

I do hope so Adrian, I did not take a camera with me as I knew I would not get away from the garden.

I hope the attached meet your approval.

Perhaps those that think red 8Fs and Scots represent preservation at its' best should have a look at Edward Sholto. Just perfect and thank you Andrew. I am looking forward to day it runs on the Penrhyn Railway - IMHO North Wales most exciting ng project!

It was a fantastic day and I especially enjoyed HT6720. I know who you are now. I was the bloke that asked about the worksplate whilst wielding the page from uklocos...

If only the injectors worked as well as the paint job then it would be great.

I couldn't get my head down the other side but the little plate on the boiler side at the front said it was "rebuilt D Arundel 1972"....
