Had a brilliant day today, many thanks to all concerned with Tangmere for stepping in at late notice. Seem to have taken 243 pictures what with Red Arrows and a couple of old railway walks around Weymouth so will have to go through them tommrow! Highlight of the day for me was the run between Dorchester South and Southampton, a kind man in the window next to mine was taking speeds and said 73mph at Moreton and 76mph through Brockenhurst, was abit like being on a rollercoaster!

Sounds like you had a great day, I shall have to stretch my bank balance soon and get on a mainline tour hauled by a Bulleid, although not so easy from down here in Plymouth. I was most impressed when EDDYSTONE visited the West Somerset Railway recently and was hauled by her. I think out on a mainline I shall be blown away, mentally:D.
Again, glad you had a great experience behind a superb locomotive.

    Regards SteamHawk6024/SteamHawk216.

Great pictures and vids. That second shot from Photo Matt is superb.

We made a last minute decision to go out for the return run and went to Winchfield. Literally as we stepped on to the platform her front light could be seen approaching in the twilight and she raced through seconds later!

It was an amazing day, well worth it. I have spent the evening editing my pictures and some of the best are on my website...
