Have added some more pictures from the first run yesterday. http://michael527.fotopic.net/c1705295.html

Was there a BBC film crew at Temple Meads yesterday? I'm sure I saw a TV film crew at Cardiff, but was there anything on the local tv last night?

    Hello to all, [smilie=hi ya!.gif]
I have just added a twelve photo collection of the "New Construction" Peppercorn development Pacific Class A1 4-6-0 60163 TORNADO as she hauled the "Severn Coast Express" made up of ten coaches, plus her support coach and a Type 67 diesel 67002 on the rear, into Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway, on the early evening of Saturday 30th.May.2009. Here she stopped off to take on water before continuing on to Minehead and to start her two week "Guest" apperance on the WSR.

The sound of TORNADO as she pulled the train away from Bishops Lydeard, I can only describe as "awesome".
WSR are really onto a crowd pulling apperance of this locomotive, and good luck to them.:smt023 I shall be revisiting during the next two weeks, thats for sure.

So please visit my site and hopefully enjoy. :smt038 Link here http://preservedrailwaylocomotivephotos ... topic.net/

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

PS While I was at Bishops Lydeard I was chatting to a chap, I think he was the tall, grey bearded gent in the video, who advised me to use this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBBK2hjcPuA to You Tube for a amusing bit of steam locomotives enthusiasts experience in "trying" to get a good look at this piece of history the A1 60163 TORNADO. If you haven't viewed this link, it is worth it to see others mis-fortune. LOL. [smilie=to funny.gif] Bye for now. :smt006

You weren't to know. I understand that it was not life threatening.
The caravans all leave on a Saturday because it's the end of the camp site week and that is when the next 'batch' arrive. <BJ>

:-k Without wishing to start off a debate about caravanning!,one thing that does sometimes puzzle me regarding the homeward trek on the M5, other than at the weekends, is the fact that on Bank Holiday Mondays this often starts as early as 9am,hardly seems worth the effort travelling down for the holidays. !.We have missed charters at Bristol in the past because of the gridlock north of Taunton.

Don't NCP manage the stretch around the M5/ M4 intersect?
