    Dear North of England photographers,

    These images are just stunning! Congratulations! It is somewhat ironic that they were taken in a part of the country renowned for high rainfall and generally awful weather. Here in the county which traditionally records some of the highest annual sunshine totals on the UK mainland, I am currently enjoying my ninth consecutive day of gloom!

    The West Coast web site has the same arrival and departure times for Carlisle as last Saturday, so I would think so.
