44932 looked very well in the evening sun last night, shame she's struggling.

Nice light and reflection. Is that Japanese Knotweed on the riverbank? Pretty, but a nasty, invasive pest, and almost impossible to get rid of once established, much like ragwort in that respect

According to another forum, 48151 worked from Scarborough to York, but was then replaced by 37676 due to the 8F having started a couple of lineside fires.

That ties in with a report from Ian Dixon. <BJ>

I can confirm that. Just returned from a very long wait at Little Fenton. The class 37 was about one hour late there. Not a good day for steam!

Is Olton Hall prohibited from the route either gauge wise or contractually?

It's out of gauge. When these trains were first routed over the Wakefield circle in 2010, the initial plan was to use Olton Hall for most, if not all, but the plan had to change when it was found to be out of gauge. I don't recall where the problem occurs though.

It should be 44932 for the SSE today. It was in steam and piled high with coal when I passed on a Transpennine @ 18.00 hrs yesterday after a dash up and down the ECML to Durham.
