So far, at Church Fenton, an hour gained back, 45 mins due to not hanging about at Hellifield, Kirkstall, Whitehall, Milford etc, 15 due to the crew and loco. They probably benefitted by the timetable down Airedale being up the spout anyway. Did very well to get out of Hellifield in front of the late running Carlisle-Leeds train.

Edit-- departed Church Fenton 11 late!

I went over to York today to see the Scarborough Spa Express hauled by Jubilee 45699 (45562/45627) Galatea/Alberta/Sierra Leone
Due to a 84 minute late start from Carnforth due to storm damage to overhead wires last night near Skipton, a spirited run must have taken place, quick water stops and no delays at various pinch points, by York was about 12 minutes late, the signaller puts a Azuma into P5 and SSE Into P4, Azuma blocking view from P5, I walked as quick as my gammy knee would let me and was able to get the following pics from the West end of P5, my back up against the Azuma cab

Any news on return as its timed for 95mph on rtt? Error or change of motive power?
No sign of a WR 0Z to Scarborough.
    It's departed Scarborough.
Update. Thanks to railcam, Galatea at the helm.

Someone else came and stood next to me right at the last minute and said he had spent half an hour looking all around for a different view as he had been on top of the bridge for the last one - he couldn't find one!

Considering the Spa left late due to things out of West Coast’s hands I’d say it was a triumph to recover the 85 late to be only 25 late into Scarborough.
