    S&D Shillingstone update

The station building restoration is almost completed .The parcel office is also restored and the mess room alongside the track is now completed.
Track laid in the dock road approx 120ft and 90ft laid in the up platform. We are hoping to have 120ft by Easter 2009 fully laid and ballasted.

The trackside trees have been cut down at the rear of the down platform and some cutting and pruning of trees further south of the station.

The emphasis is now with the drains in the local environs as some have become blocked over the years.

The toilets of both the ladies and gents are now fully functional, along with external lighting under the canopy.

We have a diesel on site fully operational and a 9F under ex barry restoration. The main frames and wheels have been restored and now the work continues
on the cab and running plates, followed by the smoke box and boiler.

We are hoping to have enough track laid in the up platform by Easter to enable purchase /loan of a mark 1 TSO to assist with the ambience
    of the overall '50' s scene .

We are actively searching for more track in order to connect the dock rd with the main running line.

We have been given planning permission for a two road engine/repair shed with working pits etc. signal box and infrastructure and three hundred yards
of running line( albeit consent of railway expectorate ) non passenger !!

We currently have 300 plus members and approx 12-15 workers on site which is currently Wednesday Saturday and Sunday.
