    Hi all,

I've just looked up the above tours much later in the year and they are all sold out!

9 months in advance - it does go to show the draw that this loco has especially over such a classic route.

Going to give the office a call tomorrow and ask to go onto the waiting list for the 4th Sept tour as this is the only date that everyone in my group can make.

Don't fancy my chances of us all being able to make it though...

There are links from the NRM to most tours with 60103 apart from the RTC Hadrian on the 2/7 which there appears to be plenty of room on.
I looked earlier today since I had planned to book on one, after I have seen that most of the SD ones were sold out in standard, but was too late.

The NRM looks like it may recoup its investment in the Loco much sooner than expected ! Obvoiusly the decision to go with the final A3 version was inspired....;)

Earning vs conservation - tricky equation.

She will last longer being treated properly as the Class 7 that she is than being flogged in the name of profit as a pseudo Class 8...

On the other hand the double chimneyed A3s were used turn and turn about with A4s in BR days on certain diagrams but I take your point.
