    I should have added that at low speeds the horsepower required to overcome rolling resistance is much reduced, and that rolling resistance for B4s is slightly less than for Commonwealths

    Horsepower required to overcome rolling resistance:-
    At 75 mph
    Mk1 on CW 77 hp
    Mk1 on B4 74 hp

    At 30 mph
    Mk1 on CW 12 hp
    Mk1 on B4 11 hp

    On Hemerdon at 30mph, 8 CW v 9 B4
    8 Mk1 on CW 105 hp
    9 Mk1 on B4 108 hp
