Early this Morning (Sunday 10th September) The Dartmouth Steam Railways Main Workshop @ Churston was broken into. Many things were stolen, but the main gear was a brand new CP Rivet Gun, Inverter Stick Welder, 1/2" air impact Gun & one of our vehicles full of S&T Testing equipment, tools, etc. All the keys for all the vehicles stored at Churston were also stolen, along with various torches and radios.

Police involved & are on the lookout for the Vauxhall Meriva that was stolen.

If anyone comes across anything listed above that's for sale, please get in contact. The Main inconvenience is the Rivet Gun, these are extremely rare to come by & the one stolen was brand new. All the S&T Gear stolen is also invaluable.

    Many thanks

The registration number of the black Meriva van is CE 05 AZL. (Information provided by a member of the Dartmouth Steam Railway staff who posted it on Traction Talk forum).

A post on Traction Talk forum yesterday revealed that a local man has been arrested for this offence and sentenced.

Happy to report that much of the stolen equipment has been recovered. Good news.

    Stef.
