Revamp planned for East Grinstead Station

    A MAJOR redevelopment scheme could change the face of the town's railway station, it has been revealed.

    As part of a country-wide investment plan, Network Rail intends to refurbish East Grinstead station within five years.

    A list of improvements outlined in the application include passenger lifts on either side of the platform, wider pathways, a new cafe and a new entrance to the station, which would be rotated 90 degrees. The ideas will be presented at a council meeting tonight (Thursday) by town councillor Paul Johnson.
