Here I have a photo taken at Port Erin, on the Isle of Man Railway back in the summer of 2012. It was something of an opportunist shot, taken through the Guards Ducket of the Brake carriage. The Driver or Fireman [not sure which] had coupled up and performed a little light maintance/adjustments to the engine before reboarding the loco.

Great idea for a thread, I like to get some human interest shots when I can. A few below:
Loughborough, GCR during the 2016 winter gala. In hindsight I should have blown out the background more.

The driver over 'Sir Keith Park' concentrates as he shunts on to the rear of a passenger train at Carrog, during the most recent Llangollen gala.

A chance capture at the NNR Autumn Gala, as a lineside fire was set by a previous train right by where I was standing on the bridge above. The crew of the next train along took care of it, as seen here.

P1050322.JPG P1050322.JPG Tense moment at Da Nang station, Vietnam, as staff await to be told to allow the passengers to embark. This can't happen until the loco is coupled to the train (sensible in case it's a rough shunt). P1050322.JPG

A couple of photos taken in September 2016 - firstly Erlestoke Manor drawing the crowds at Eardington on the SVR...in fact they were waiting to see Flying Scotsman on the next departure from Bridgnorth.

A week earlier at another event featuring Scotsman, Earl of Mount Edgcumbe makes a lovely silhouette of a member of Tyseley's staff as she pulls forward on to the turntable.
