The Poppleton Nursery Railway celebrates it's 30th anniversary this week. Lister No. 1 (Works number 20449) photographed on 28th June while the railway prepared for the anniversary events which will hopefully feature two visiting locomotives

I was wondering with Poppleton, does the railway carry passengers? Or is it used for its original purpose only?

Used for transporting plants and equipment around site - there is no resident passenger stock as far as I am aware

Thank you. Had wondered since site reopened if they did or not. Could be an added attraction in the future.
